Knicks, Quickely comments Game-3: “Everything was very cool”

Brunson and his teammates appeared to be handling the Cleveland traps much better than they had in Game 2. And theirs appeared to be a concerted effort by the Knicks as they got into the paint to find open shooters on the perimeter.

In the first two games of the series, 34 percent of New York’s shots were three-point attempts. In Game 3 (minus trash time), 41 percent of the Knicks’ shots came from beyond the arc. They shot poorly (10 of 33) but the volume of attempts seemed to open the ground a bit.

“They were usually sinking” Quickley said. “Before they really played more like 2 on 2… they kept Jarrett Allen in the middle. Today they were sinking more and the shooters were quite open. We had some shots today so that was cool”.
