A growing number of people believe the New York Knicks could have what it takes to make it all the way to the NBA Finals this year.
Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is not one of those people.
Speaking on his show, via New York Basketball, Green said he believes Knicks fans are “delusional.”
Green then said:
“A ball-dominant Jalen Brunson isn’t going to get you to the promised land. I didn’t say you wouldn’t win the first round and I think you should win the second round easily. I said you can’t reach the promised land. And frankly, if I’m honest, I still don’t think you can do it.”
Like others, Green takes issue with Brunson being a smaller, ball-dominant guard.
Some people believe a team can’t win the playoffs if someone like that leads them, even though that description sounds a lot like Stephen Curry, who won four championships with Green.
