What are the Knicks to do with Tom Thibodeau? Many want the coach to be fired, while admitting that the fault is not entirely his. In the past eight games, the Knicks have won only twice. Although the opponents have all been very strong, what makes you angry is the way the Knicks lost.
The game against the Mavs encompassed it all. After a first half well played by the Knicks, the Mavs annihilated Thibodeau’s team unable to make a change in him and in the match.
Thibodeau is a coach who pays much more attention to the defensive side and in fact the Knicks produce very little in attack. If we add to this some choices in the wrong rotations by Thibodeau, then the damage is done.
The Knicks front office has moved to build a playoff team, but right now the team is 10-13 and the playoffs seem to be a chimera for now. Unless something changes and many would like Thibodeau to be the first to pay for all of this.
The Knicks did indeed lose to the Mavericks in embarrassing fashion. The offensive system didn’t work, the defensive one even worse despite being Thibodeau’s strong point.
Perhaps, the Knicks’ loss to the Mavericks could bring about change.
