Knicks, Thibodeau spoke highly of Tobias Harris

The New York Knicks showed interest in Philadelphia 76ers player Tobias Harris ahead of an eight-game hitting streak.

According to SNY’s Ian Bagley, Harris has long been on coach Tom Thibodeau’s radar. During the night, just against the Knicks, Harris recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds while struggling to shoot – 0/5 from three, 4/10 shooting.

“The Knicks have at least been talking internally about the idea of acquiring Tobias Harris via trade before their winning streak begins. Tom Thibodeau spoke highly of him before the game, so he’s a name to watch,” Begley said .

Harris has a $39.2 million guaranteed contract next season, after which he will become a free agent.
