The Cleveland Cavaliers are two games away from tasting their first postseason glory since 2018 and their first without LeBron James on the organization’s roster since 1998. The Cavaliers likely would have achieved that milestone without Donovan Mitchell as well. The Knicks will play in the playoffs against Cleveland, Tom Thibodeau spoke about what makes Mitchell so special.
“When you dig into the numbers, that tells you he’s had a monster season, having a lot of 40-point games, but also [it’s] the impact on winning,” Mitchell’s Knicks coach said on Wednesday, per the New York Post. “He did the same thing in Utah, but I think every year he’s gotten better.”
