How beneficial can it be for the Knicks to get Patrick Beverley?

The Knicks’ priority is to add shooters to their roster.

Patrick Beverley wouldn’t help the Knicks with their shooting problems at all. In 22 games played with the Bulls to end the 2022-23 season, he shot 30.9% from three on 3.7 attempts. Beverley is not known for his shooting but for his aggressiveness defensively.

Beverley plays with a grit that would inflame the crowd at Madison Square Garden. However, New York doesn’t need to add another guard who struggles to shoot. He ticks the box of being a Tom Thibodeau player, but that’s not enough. Buckley wrote that he could rediscover “the touch of him from a distance”. In no way is that something the Knicks should hope to happen.
