Donovan Mitchell is still being linked to the Knicks

It is not entirely excluded that the Knicks cannot sign Donovan Mitchell. Despite courtship from the Knicks, Mitchell landed in Cleveland, but the Knicks continue to monitor the situation.

The New York native has once again expressed his interest in New York in connection with the playoffs played this season and won by the Knicks. According to some sources, the Knicks will try again with Mitchell in the offseason, the trade of him does not seem to be immediate.

In 2020 Mitchell signed a five-year, $163 million extension with the Utah Jazz. The 26-year-old will earn $32.6 million next season and $34.8 million in 2024-25. Mitchell can become an unrestricted free agent in 2025 if he turns down his 2025-26 player option worth $37.1 million.

His trade will depend a lot on next season. If the Cavaliers don’t make the playoffs, then Mitchell could be traded to the Knicks.
