New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson has been listed as Out for 6-8 weeks, which is pretty much the remainder of the entire postseason, due to a left ankle injury.
This has been a recurring injury for Mitchell, who started the first 21 games for New York this season before requiring ankle surgery, resulting in him missing 49 consecutive games. However, regardless of his injury, Mitchell played an important role in defending Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, where the Knicks ultimately defeated the 76ers.
However, Mitchell was forced to miss Game 4 due to the same ankle injury and played just 12 minutes in the Western Conference Semifinal Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers. After being re-evaluated, Mitchell was ruled out for a minimum of six weeks, which is a huge blow to the Knicks’ reserve roster.
