According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the New York Knicks are expected to get starting center Mitchell Robinson back before the end of the month.
“[The Knicks] had a really impressive win [Monday] night,” Windhorst said on the March 19 “NBA Today” program on ESPN. “They continue to be tough and tough. Mitchell Robinson is expected to return by the end of the month. We’re still waiting for Julius Randle, but they’ll only get better as long as they can get healthy and look where they’re at. They are fourth with a chance of second place.”
Windhorst’s update on Robinson is welcome news for the Knicks, who just lost OG Anunoby again after his surgically repaired elbow became inflamed and there’s still no firm timeline for his return.
Robinson is currently with the team on a four-game West Coast road trip that concludes Thursday, March 21 in Denver against the defending champion Nuggets. After that, the Knicks will play five more games this month.
Robinson has been out since December 8 last year with an ankle injury. He subsequently underwent surgery.
