Immanuel Quickley said he will let the coaches decide how best to implement Derrick Rose in the Knicks rotation.

But he believes that he and Rose can be well together thanks to their versatility.

“I know I’m a versatile player. This is something I pointed out before the draft, that I can play with or without the ball, “Quickley said Tuesday morning.” So just by being that type of player, I can fit into any system in any way.

“I feel like Rose is a versatile player too, just watching him play. He can shoot, enter the lane and create. And then in defense, I feel we can both defend. So just being versatile players on and off the ball, I feel it gives us an edge. “

Rose did not participate in the shooting Tuesday morning with the Knicks because Dennis Smith Jr. had not completed his physique with Detroit. Quickley didn’t think Rose would play in Tuesday’s game against the Miami Heat.

“Whenever you get a chance to pick the brain of someone who’s been through pretty much everything – playoffs, everything, as far as MVP – it’s always a good chance to learn,” Quickley said, adding that he’s eager to talk to Rose about “everything he knows about the game”.
