Knicks encouraged by Hartenstein’s return and Achiuwa’s strong performance in the win over the Heat

The New York Knicks managed to come back from the Miami Heat to win 125-109 at home last Saturday night.

Even more encouraging than the win itself was the return of hot center Isaiah Hartenstein to the lineup after a brief three-game absence due to an Achilles injury. Additionally, reserve center Precious Achiuwa controlled the glass with 10 rebounds on the night.

According to Mark W. Sanchez of the New York Post, Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau liked the way Achiuwa performed, and Hartenstein doubled down by saying this about Achiuwa holding center against All-NBA center Bam Adebayo:

“Precious did a great job today,” Hartenstein said. “The way he defended and brought energy, it was great and it was what we needed.”
