If the Knicks are looking for value, young guard Immanuel Quickley certainly fits the profile. Quickley, currently in the final year of his rookie contract before a significant extension, presents an ideal opportunity for the Knicks to capitalize on his services.
Quickley could be a key piece in a larger deal, particularly if the Knicks aren’t willing to pay him over $20 million a season on a four-year deal. At 24, Quickley averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and shot .448 from the field last year, with a 37% slugging percentage from center.
Although the Boston Celtics’ Malcolm Brogdon narrowly passed him for the Sixth Man of the Year award, a team looking for a young guard to extend could see great value in Quickley, whose potential remains untapped.
