The New York Knicks fail completely in the third half and are asphalted by the Dallas Mavericks. The Knicks’ first half was stellar, with Julius Randle man of the match with 21 points. The Knicks dominate, seem to have the game in hand and close the first half ahead by 7.
The third quarter, however, does not give the Knicks a chance. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Luka Doncic take the chair and do what they want. Tim hits six consecutive 3-pointers, Doncic finishes with 18 points, more than the Knicks’ total. The third quarter ends with a 41-15 run. The Knicks fail to recover. Tom Thibodeau tries everything but in the end it just creates confusion. In the end it will be 24 points for Randle and 23 for Quickley from the bench. For the Mavs Doncic makes 30 and Hardaway 28.
