The reasons why the Knicks need to extend Josh Hart’s contract

Josh Hart has convinced everyone in the New York Knicks and a rich contract awaits him in the summer. The Villanova Wildcats product is in talks with the franchise about extending his contract which, according to Yahoo! Sports, will be around $18 million a season.

A move from Portland in February, Hart played an integral role in the Knicks’ playoff run. The 27-year-old averaged 10.2ppg, 7.0rpg and 3.6apg in 25 regular season games with the Knicks. His numbers were similar in the postseason, averaging 10.4 points in the playoffs and 7.4 rebounds in 32.1 minutes.
