The Knicks prepare a $206 million trade with the Lakers

The Knicks could close a $206 million trade soon. According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, the Knickerbockers are currently seen as the favorites to land Los Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook.

In his career Russell Westbrook was MVP in 2016 and a perennial All-Star. But his career is in decline, he is no longer very productive. The Lakers and Knicks could conclude this trade by helping each other out, even if the cost is very high.

However, several doubts remain about how useful Westbrook can be to the Knicks. However, the Knicks could benefit financially. Westbrook makes $47.1 million, but Evan Fournier along with other assets may be included in the trade. The Frenchman is now out of the rotations and his salary money could be used for Westbrook.
