There was a time when Grimes was the Knicks’ golden boy, the untouchable among their young talents. He became the flashpoint of Donovan Mitchell’s failed talks. The Knicks turned down the Hawks when they asked for him in the Cam Reddish deal.
But things have been bad this season for Grimes.
Everything changed drastically when he publicly complained about his lack of touches in the starting unit which led to his demotion to the bench.
