The Knicks consider trading Mitchell Robinson

The Knicks front office, led by Leon Rose, will look to capitalize on their recent success and bolster the roster’s assortment of talent to improve their odds of contention as soon as possible.

Recently, an anonymous league executive told Heavy Sports NBA insider Sean Deveney that the front office could be open to including big man Mitchell Robinson in a “bigger” trade package this summer.

“They’ve been testing him because he’s an old school kind of center – a good rim protector and rebounder, but he doesn’t want to shoot beyond three or four feet and he’s not much of a passer. The Bulls had some interest, but it’s doubtful he would return. Dallas too, but again no pieces fit. There’s not much of a commercial market out there for him, so he’s their guy. They could move him if he’s part of a larger package, though,” the executive told Deveney.
