Scott Perry hopes the Knicks find time to consolidate

The Knicks’ 14-2 record in January looked promising. But with no time to get the injured starters to get back into rhythm and mesh with the new additions, Perry is wary of the Knicks’ playoff chances.

“If they have a minimum of 10 games played together before the playoffs, that allows new signings like [Alec] Burks and [Bojan] Bogdanovic to move forward and figure out how to fit in and then Thibs can figure everything out in terms of minutes,” he said Perry on the “NBA Today” program.

The Knicks also added another veteran guard, Shake Milton, giving Thibodeau a roster narrowing.

Perry isn’t as interested in OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson as he is in Randle because of their roles.

“Anunoby, even though he’s newer, he’s going to assimilate a little bit quicker,” Perry told the “NBA Today” program. “They’re going to need [Robinson] in the playoffs because he can really dominate an inside series with his rebounding and blocking.”
