Updates on Julius Randle’s rehabilitation

Julius Randle, who chose rehabilitation over season-ending surgery, has already transitioned to light contact drills. But Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau isn’t committing to a timetable for his return with just 20 games left on the regular season schedule.

“He will be at a comfort level when he returns. He’s handled the injuries he’s had in the past well,” Thibodeau told reporters, according to the New York Daily News. “I think once he’s out, and usually what happens when a player suffers whatever injury he has, every player has to go back to trusting their body again. And that usually doesn’t happen until there’s a scene in the game where you say, “Hey, I’m fine.”

“He So he’s doing all the work that he has to do, and he’s making good progress, and he’s continuing to lead the way.”
