NBA, NBPA to reportedly agree on a December 22 start date

The NBA and the NBPA are expected to reach an agreement on the start date of the 2020/21 season, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

According to the NBA insider, the league and the Players Association will reach an agreement for the new season to start on December 22.

“The NBA’s Board of Governors and the Players Association are holding separate meetings on Thursday expected to culminate with an agreement on starting the 2020-2021 season on Dec. 22 and playing a reduced 72-game schedule,” Wojnarowski tweeted.

According to this plan, the Draft will take place on November 18, free agency will tip off two or three days later and training camps will start on December 1st.
