Knicks, the interest in Karl-Anthony Towns would be mutual

The news has been known for some time now. If the Minnesota Timberwolves ever decide to move on star big man Karl-Anthony Towns, then the New York Knicks would attempt the assault.

An Eastern Conference executive thinks the Knicks are a particularly logical choice:

“You can still sell high on Towns even if it hasn’t been a great year for him. He’s signed. He’s still young (27). And he’s good. But you need to have a tougher team around him, and you want him in an area of comfort. That’s why the Knicks always come: He’s from Jersey, he’s based there. And personnel-wise, that would be a good mix. Everyone knows the connections there, everyone knows there’s an interest “.
