The Knicks want to improve next season and to do so, the goal is to enrich the roster with a new star. This one that will arrive should take the place of Julius Randle who seems to be further and further away from New York.
The Knicks have identified DeMar DeRozan as a star to partner Jalen Brunson. The six-time All-Star, the 33-year-old forward played in 74 games recent season, averaging 36.2 minutes, his most since the 2013-14 season.
To secure DeRozan, who is in the last year of his contract worth $28.6 million, the Knicks may have to part ways with Julius Randle, but it’s not out of the question that RJ Barrett could be sacrificed.
