Knicks, Julius Randle was fined for criticizing officials

The NBA announced that Julius Randle of the Knicks has been fined $ 15,000 for inappropriate language targeting officials and publicly criticized.

Both incidents occurred after Monday’s 101-100 defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers, after Randle was called for a late foul that was called “fucking ridiculous”.

The Knicks led 100-99 with six seconds to play when Shake Milton missed a layup. Nerlens Noel appeared to rebound, but Randle was called for a free ball foul on Tobias Harris.

Randle was also visibly upset by a traveling call against him after a tie-up with G Kyrie Irving of the Nets on March 15.

Coach Tom Thibodeau made sure to bite his tongue on the referee after Monday’s defeat, but Randle was openly critical, hence the fine.
