RJ Barrett finished 20 out of 7 out of 15 after a slow start, but aside from Randle and Barrett, the Knicks’ starting lineup didn’t contribute much to the score. Austin Rivers trio Mitchell Robinson and Elfrid Payton teamed up to score 25 points.
The Knicks managed to cut the Nets ‘fourth quarter lead, as the Rivers three reduced the Nets’ cushion to 10 points, but in the end it was too little, too late for New York. Despite cutting the lead to five points in the final 20 seconds, the Nets made free throws and managed to win.
