Knicks, Quickley’s performance is a step forward for the team

On Wednesday, Quickley produced 19 points, three assists and two rebounds in a 116-109 loss to Brooklyn. The 25th overall pick shot 7 out of 15 from the field, including 3 out of 6 from the field, in 22 minutes from the bench.

Later, Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said the team wasn’t worried about Quickley’s shooting collapse. The team know they are an important piece from the bench and producing him will be the key to finding success on the pitch this season.

While the result was certainly not what the Knicks were looking for, Quickley getting his shot back was likely a positive lining and an encouraging step to move forward.
