Carmelo Anthony has announced his retirement from playing basketball.
Although Anthony has decided to retire from basketball, he could have continued to play professional basketball if he wanted, but not in the NBA, according to a recent article by Marc Stein:
“League sources say Carmelo Anthony has received high-level European interest this season, but he has decided he would not play anywhere else unless the offer came from the NBA.”
