Rumors continue to circulate about the possible firing of Tom Thibodeau from the Knicks. Expectations were different with Jalen Brunson and RJ Barrett but Thibodeau is also accused of a bad rotation of his best men:
“There were a lot of questions about whether he would make it through last year after the way they fell apart and how unruly that team seemed at times,” an NBA executive told Sean Deveney. “He’s been very slow to change rotation, things like that, and pissed people off in the wrong way. But Thibs is always consistent in his approach. It’s going to be the same this year. His problem is, look East, and they’re in 10th. That’s a best case scenario if everyone’s healthy in the East. They’re 10th. So he could do the best job he can, finish 10th, and still get fired. I’d say he will get fired if they finish 10th. It’s a difficult point.”
