The Detroit Pistons have signed veteran forward/center Taj Gibson to a 10-day contract.
Gibson, 38, signed with the New York Knicks on Dec. 14 and was released a month later. He is an interesting pickup for the Pistons, a young, struggling team that is in rebuilding mode.
He was waived by the Washington Wizards in October after a run with the Knicks from 2019-22. Gibson appeared in 945 career games total, also serving stints with the Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves.
