The Knicks season could resume at Walt Disney World

The New York Knicks may have played their last game at Madison Square Garden this season, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t be back on the field again. According to a recent report by The Athletic, the NBA is seriously discussing resuming the 2019-20 season at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

While the details have yet to be worked out and the return to game proposals are always fluid, it appears that players can begin training in mid-June with a potential start date in mid-July compared to the post-coronavirus program.

Florida governor Ron DeSantis announced last week that professional sports, including the NBA, can resume in the state without fan participation. The Disney site is seen as a suitable place for the league to function, with a bubble-like atmosphere that includes numerous fields and hotel spaces. Las Vegas is another neutral site considered.
