The Knicks get positive news about Mitchell Robinson’s injuries

The New York Knicks have dealt with numerous injuries throughout the season, but are getting a little better heading into the playoffs.

Among those injured for much of the season was starting center Mitchell Robinson, but he suffered a setback in Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bulls when he did not appear in the second half. However, The Athletic’s Fred Katz reports that Robinson is ready for Saturday’s opener against the Miami Heat or Philadelphia 76ers.

“Mitchell Robinson played full practice today, Tom Thibodeau said. He said Robinson is fine after missing the second half of the game on Sunday,” Katz tweeted.

Robinson, 26, averaged 5.6 points and 8.5 rebounds this season in 31 appearances for the Knicks. In the 10 games he played after returning from his ankle injury, he came off the bench in favor of Isaiah Hartenstein, who filled Robinson’s starting role when he was out.
