Tom Thibodeau could leave the Knicks. The hypothesis was put forward by during ‘Firts Take’: “I think this should be Thibodeau’s last year in New York. I’m not saying he’s not a great coach, I’m not saying he’s not able to coach. I think Ty Lue is one of the great coaches in the NBA. Looking to the future I think he’s a better coach than Thibodeau, he’s 19 years younger”.
Lue’s contract with the Clippers has two years left. With the sophomore as a team option, the coach could potentially be put on the free agency shopping shelf next offseason.
