More details emerge on Knicks’ trade to Pistons for Bojan Bogdanovic, Alec Burks

The New York Knicks have been one of the most active teams at the NBA Trade Deadline and in the weeks leading up to it. After bolstering their defense with the trade for OG Anunoby in December, the Knicks added more offensive firepower at the deadline by acquiring Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks from the Detroit Pistons. The Knicks have risen to the top of the Eastern Conference and are looking to compete this season. While the deadline was Thursday, more details emerged from the trade via The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov.

In addition to acquiring Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks, the Knicks will also send a 2028 second-round pick, a 2029 second-round pick, and $3 million to the Pistons. Of course, there’s no guarantee those second-round picks will ever be worth anything, but second-round picks have become a bit more valuable in recent years.
