Former Knicks draft pick Kristaps Porzingis will likely pull his player option and delay his free agency until next year, according to Spotrac salary cap guru Keith Smith.
“Something that is causing more and more buzz: Kristaps Porzingis has opted for $ 36 million with Washington next season. Under the old front office, the assumption was that Porzingis would opt out and re-sign a long-term deal with [the] Wizards. He could take the money now and reach the FA in 2024,” Smith tweeted on Wednesday.
