Knicks, the long-awaited star will arrive soon

The New York Knicks have been linked to every major star for more than a decade with hardly any success stories.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said on the Hoop Collective podcast that he expects a star to make his way to New York via trade within the next year.

“I’m not sure all the players want to play for Thibs, but there are some who would,” said Windhorst (around 20 minutes). “I say that within the next 12 months a star / superstar player is asking for a swap in New York. And I don’t know who it will be. I have assumptions; I won’t say it right here. I’ll do it. Let me start thinking about it. Let’s put it this way: the executives of the company. Lega certainly have some assumptions.

“And I would say that by next year’s trade deadline a player, a superstar, an All-Star player is trying to make their way. And they’ll be able to make that kind of trade, and maybe that’s where Julius Randle comes in as a bargaining chip”.
