This is the New York Knicks schedule for preparing for the 2020-21 season.
Coronavirus testing: Coronavirus testing began on Saturday in New York. Players will need to receive three negative tests before participating in team activities.
First Training: Once cleared from testing, teams can conduct informal training with up to four players and four coaches / staff members at a time. This will start on December 1st.
First team practices: for teams that have had their players tested since Saturday, they will be able to play the first group practice session on Friday; if not, they will have to wait until December 6th.
Preseason: The Knicks will play four exhibition games, starting December 11 in Detroit. After a follow-up match against the Pistons, they will return home to play the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden on December 16 (and again on December 18).
