Knicks, team decimated: it’s up to Frank Ntilikina

Starting point guard Elfrid Payton is likely eliminated for aggravating a strained right hamstring. Backup point guard Derrick Rose is still missing due to issues with the COVID-19 protocol.

Combo guard Austin Rivers is at home in Manhattan with a newborn baby.

The Knicks will be decimated as point guard as they play Thunder on a Saturday matinee at Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Arena, the only weak point of a tough four-game journey.

That means Frank Ntilikina will start – like he did in San Antonio 10 days ago – or Knicks manager Tom Thibodeau will thrill fans and shoot with rookie Immanuel Quickley to the point. Quickley, however, has a sore groin and was listed as questionable late Friday night.
