Knicks, surprising victory against the Bucks

Tom Thibodeau’s first win as Knicks manager was surprisingly easy against a great opponent, as New York defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 130-110 on Sunday night.

Julius Randle had 29 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists, Elfrid Payton scored 27 points in his best game as Knick and New York was leading by a whopping 28 against the team that had the best record in the NBA in the previous two seasons.

The Knicks were among the NBA’s worst at the time, but are hoping for a breakthrough under Thibodeau, the former coach of the year who has engineered comebacks in Chicago and Minnesota.

“As long as we put the work into it, we will improve,” Thibodeau said.
