Knicks Rumors, Josh Green is perfect for the Knicks

With all the media focused on the Knicks’ lottery pick at number 8 in the November 18 NBA draft, the front office worked just as diligently on their second round pick at number 27 and their second round pick at number 27 38.

“They are trying to find the diamond in the rough,” an NBA source said.

One player of particular interest is Arizona freshman Josh Green, a shooting guard who moved from Sydney, Australia, to Phoenix when he was 13.

Green is listed at 6-foot-5 but has a wingspan of 6-10. Scouts classified it as the 3-and-D prototype.

“He is an NBA athlete,” an NBA scout told Green. “He excels in transition and has potential as a defender with good awareness. He probably still needs to improve his outside shots. ”

In his only college season, shortened to COVID-19, Green averaged 12 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 30 games. He shot a decent 36.1 percent from 3, but there was criticism of his shooting mechanics.

“He would be perfect for the Knicks,” said another talent assessor.
