Knicks, Obi Toppin will participate in the NBA All-Star Game Slam Dunk Contest

Obi Toppin of the Knicks will test his skills in the NBA All-Star Game’s Slam Dunk Contest on March 7 in Atlanta, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Speaking to reporters at the Knicks shooting on Friday, Toppin has not yet been able to confirm the news, but said he would be very excited to attend if the opportunity arises.

“I haven’t heard of it yet, but I would love to participate in the dunk contest,” said Toppin.

“I grew up watching the All-Star weekend and watching the dunk contest … I’d really love to be a part of it, it sure would be great.”

The Slam Dunk Contest will take place at half-time of the All-Star Game.
