The first question for RJ Barrett following the Knicks’ win over the Cavaliers on Wednesday was what he thought of Mitchell Robinson as he went down with 18 rebounds.
Barrett got a confused look before grabbing the stats sheet, given to everyone speaking at the podium, on the table. Robinson, who was sitting next to Barrett, snatched the paper from his teammate’s hand to look for himself before exclaiming “11 offensive rebounds.”
“That says it all,” Barrett said after giving Robinson a congratulatory handshake. “He has been great in all series. We needed every single rebound he got. He was amazing.”
