Jimmy Butler becomes the Knicks’ main target

As the New York Knicks reel from their second-round playoff exit at the hands of the Miami Heat, their front office will look for ways to build on an impressive season.

According to Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report, New York may decide now it’s time to add another star, with Jimmy Butler as the ideal target.

“Even with Miami advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals, consistency has been an issue in recent years and the aging roster may need a shake up,” Buckley wrote. “Trading Butler while he is still in his prime could allow the team to build around Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro…Trading Butler for Barrett (and a bunch of picks and other prospects) would make the Knicks a locked-down defender, a hard worker and creator of high-level shots for himself and his teammates”.
