Former Knick Lance Thomas attracts free agent interest

Former New York Knicks forward Lance Thomas is reportedly drawing attention from the teams that led to the restart of the NBA season on July 30th.

For SNY’s Ian Begley and Alex Smith, “expert teams” have shown interest in Thomas.

The NBA transaction window opened on Tuesday and will end at 11:59 pm ET on June 30th. During this period, all 30 teams will be able to sign eligible free agents.

Thomas was recently with the Brooklyn Nets, but was among their list cuts in October before the 2019-2020 regular season started.

Before signing with nets last September, Thomas spent five seasons with the Knicks. The 32-year-old averaged 8.3 points per game in his first year with New York during the 2014-15 campaign.

One of the reasons Thomas could attract attention is his three-point shot. He has made 38.8 percent of his 397 attempts behind the arc in 224 games in the past four seasons.
