With a disclaimer that he believes Donovan Mitchell is happy with the burgeoning Cavaliers, Joe Ingles said he still wouldn’t be surprised if his former teammate eventually plays for the Knicks.
“For me it would be amazing,” Magic forward Ingles told the Post. “Whoever gets to play at home, it would be a really special thing for them. If he does it, fine. If he doesn’t, he won’t change my life one bit.”
Ingles, who played for five seasons alongside Mitchell with the Jazz, told a Utah radio station in the summer that “I think [Mitchell] is going to play for New York someday, sometime.”
