With just over a month left in the NBA regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers and Dennis Schröder have been unable to reach agreement on a contract extension, and while there is technically still time to settle something, Schröder ce he did it. clear that he intends to test free will without restrictions.

The Lakers will enter the summer as perceived favorites to re-sign Schröder due to his comments on the new signing earlier in the season and because they have bird rights to him, meaning they can pay him more than any other team. However, the Lakers aren’t the only great transfer team that can pay Schröder the money he’s looking for.

The New York Knicks can open up to $ 70 million in cap this summer, and according to SNY’s Ian Begley, they are planning to use some of that money to try and lure Schröder out of Los Angeles:
