DeMarcus Cousins says the Knicks star should be an MVP candidate

The New York Knicks have given fans a lot to be happy about this season because they have looked good since the beginning of the year and are now ready to advance to the postseason.

Much of their success this year is due to superstar guard Jalen Brunson, who has been the centerpiece of the team in more ways than one.

Because of his hard work and persistence, former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins thinks Brunson should be part of the MVP conversation.

“This Knicks team is built strictly on toughness. I think Jalen Brunson should be one of the biggest names when it comes to MVP this season,” DeMarcus Cousins told Rachel Nichols, via New York Basketball on Twitter.

Cousins added that Brunson needs to be a top-five MVP contender, a notion Rajon Rondo agrees with.
