It didn’t go unnoticed that Julius Randle missed his post-match media appointment after Game 5. Tom Thibodeau shut out Randle for the Knicks‘ game-winning fourth quarter.
Charles Barkley called Randle’s decision disappointing during TNT’s “Inside the NBA” on Sunday as reported by the New York Post:
“I like Julius Randle, he’s a great player and a good guy. I hate players who only talk to the media when things are going well. It does not work like that. What disappoints me even more is that the team won. You can’t only talk to the press when things are going well”.
