According to SNY’s Ian Begley, the New York Knicks are planning to interview Will Hardy, an assistant to San Antonio Spurs, from one to eight or ten candidates for their coaching job.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Spurs have given the Knicks permission to interview the 32-year-old, who is “well regarded within the Spurs organization”.
Hardy has spent the past four years as an assistant coach in San Antonio and has spent 10 years with the organization.
The coach started his career with the Spurs as a basketball operations intern in 2010 before joining the video coordinator and finally the team bench.
He also coached the Spurs Summer League team in Utah and was part of Team USA’s technical staff at the 2019 FIBA World Cup under Gregg Popovich.
