Many have noted that the Golden State Warriors have an interest in Florida State’s Devin Vassell. (I think Bleacher Report and the San Francisco Chronicle were among them).
A note to add here: Vassell is one of ten players Golden State has met / watched train with in person, according to SNY sources. The Warriors have seen Vassell train in the past few weeks.
Speaking Thursday, Vassell confirmed that he worked for the Warriors and the Knicks.
This is noteworthy because teams are limited to watching in-person training / meetings with 10 players during the pre-draft period.
So the fact that the Warriors have chosen to look at Vassell as one of their 10 allowed workouts tells you that they hold him in high regard.
Teams in contact with people around the top draft players told them they expected the Knicks to try to move up.
It is likely that the Knicks will continue to evaluate the cost of going up in the draft, including trading with Golden State for pick # 1 2.
