Trade proposal between Knicks and Lakers LeBron James and Julius Randle

The New York Knicks will be looking for stars this offseason, and this time the brightest of them all could remain on the free agency board.

Bleacher Report’s ranking of the top 25 potential free-agent prospects floated an idea that would lead LeBron James to work out a sign-and-trade with the Los Angeles Lakers, one that would send him to New York for the primary price of Julius Randle , one of the undisputed faces of the Knicks franchise.

“To the best of his ability, James will likely direct his son’s destination. Perhaps it will be with the Lakers, although some in the league speculate it will be with the New York Knicks,” writes Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus. “If that were the case, James would likely join and orchestrate a trade to the Lakers (perhaps for Julius Randle , other salaries and picks in Los Angeles).”

Having made no secret of his love for playing in New York, James has seemingly been linked to the Knicks whenever he sought a playing opportunity. Things reached a fever pitch in 2010, but he eventually took his talents to South Beach to join the Miami Heat.
