The New York Knicks trade Evan Fournier

Evan Fournier is a night DNP in the final year of his contract. His expiring $18.8 million contract could be used in a trade to equalize salaries. The 31-year-old isn’t playing minutes, and a team could take on his expiring contract along with young players and draft capital in a one-star trade.

There’s no reason for New York to keep Fournier, who doesn’t have a role in the rotation.

The Knicks have a big trade deadline ahead of them, as they have the assets to be one of the most active teams and land a star.
